Past Simple and Past Perfect
In this photo, the men are losing their patience because the woman wearing a blue dress doesn´t want to marry the man on the right of the photo. After this, the woman said that she is lesbian and she had married the woman in red some days ago.

These men are survivors of the World War II, some years before that moment, they had escaped the battlefields and hidden somewhere in Asia, one of the few places where the water wasn´t contaminated.
Now the war is over but very few people survived the diseases, so they started looking for survivors.
This search is taking more time then they had imagined, but they found some signals that there are communities of survivors up the mountains.

He is a very important professor and he was celebrating his success, but what was very shocking was that he didn´t know that his son had died in a traffic accident at the same time of the celebration.
